And in a nutshell that was how I (Tonia) was made redundant and I lost my job with this short statement.😳😱

Even though we knew a kind of restructuring was going on, I wasn’t really prepared for it to actually lead to my department being made redundant.
Fast forward👉🏽 to 6 weeks later
I was at home. No job, which meant the family income had suddenly been reduced to just one source now. I needed to do something quick! I needed another job like right now and I got one better than the one I lost. Thank God! 🙄
But then sometimes when the unexpected happens, we tend to always want to remedy it immediately. But I would say, that is when you should pause , ask yourself some burning questions, have a sober reflection and re-evaluate your life.
Which was exactly what my husband and I did by asking these questions:
How can we get ourselves out of this vicious circle of always working for someone? There is no job security for anyone as long as you are not working for yourself.
How can we turn this seemingly negative situation into a positive?

We came to a conclusion that
If we want something different to happen then we have to do something differently..
That was how we started learning a new skill on how to build our own digital business. Needless to say this has opened up a whole world of opportunities to us…..
I would cut through the chase; I guess what we are trying to say here is that if the whole redundancy brouhaha hadn’t happened, we probably would not have thought out of the box. We would have continued to be comfortable in our comfort zone and therefore miss out on this amazing journey..
We turned our lemons into lemonade
You can do it too. No matter what life throws at you, there is always a way out.
Learn a new skill if need be, never stop developing yourself, believe in yourself. Aspire to have a multiple source of income..
Turn those disappointingly looking lemons into lemonade and watch the world asking for a glass from you ✌️
